AFC Leopards Spotted at the Top – Fall 2025 2019 Girls Champions
Congratulations to the AFC Leopards on their first place finish! Though they might be leopards, their record this fall was spotless, with solid strikers and deft defenders securing them their hard earned victories. Much credit and thanks to the leaders of this pack, Coach Michael and Coach Patrick, who coached their cubs to become ferocious athletes.
Within the Kenyan Premier League, the AFC Leopards finished their 2024/2025 season in 6th place. Based in Nairobi, they are Kenya’s third most successful club, boasting 12 victories within their league.
Super Season for Cape Town City – Fall 2025 2019 Boys Champions
Congratulations to Cape Town City on their first place finish! They ended the season with an impressive record free from any losses, though the Orlando Pirates fought to tie with them in week 7. Under the guidance of Coach Lende and Coach Taylor, Cape Town City cemented their championship with decisive victories in their last two weeks of the season, the Mamelodi Sundowns a close second.
In the South African Premier Division, Cape Town City had a less fortunate end to their 2024/2025 season wherein they were relegated to the National First Division. Let’s hope their Rockland counterpart’s victory lends them some much needed mojo for promotion!
Smooth Sailing for Puerto Cabello – Fall 2025 2017-2018 Girls Champions
Congratulations to Puerto Cabello for their first place finish! In a high scoring and fast paced division, Puerto Cabello was still able to push ahead each weekend and come out on top. Coach Michael (of AFC Leopards fame) and Coach Brendan were just the right captains to steer their team to first.
In the Liga FUTVE, Puerto Cabello secured a 5th place finish for 2025. The Venezuelan city from which the team gets its name translates to “Port of Hair,” named such because sailors say the water is so calm, you could moor a ship to the docks with just a single strand of hair!
¡Envigado ha Ganado! – Fall 2025 2017-2018 Boys Champions
(Envigado has won!)
Congratulations to Envigado on their first place finish! Envigado was certainly strong on offense, but they also proved to be a true force of defense, with their goals against being the lowest of all 10 teams in their division. Though Deportivo Pasto was close behind them, Coach Brian and Coach Joseph led Envigado to their season securing victory in the last week of games.
For 2025, Envigado ended 18th and 16th respectively in the Aperatura and Finalización seasons of Colombia’s Categoria Primera A. “Aperatura” is the opening season and “Finalización” (Clausura) is the closing season of split-season formatted sports leagues. Colombia’s “Aperatura” season is held in the first half of the calendar year.
FC Twente has “Plente” of Skill – Fall 2025 2015-2016 Girls Champions
Congratulations to FC Twente on their first place finish! In what was one of the closest and most competitive divisions ever, FC Twente fought hard against steep competition week to week. In their last game of the season, Coach Jean and Coach Paula coached their girls against AFC Ajax in a battle for all the marbles, and ultimately secured the win needed to jump from 2nd to 1st by just one point in the standings!
Finishing in 7th in the 2025/2026 season of Netherland’s Eredivisie, FC Twente has certainly had its ups and downs throughout its history. They do have one first place finish to their name, however; they won the Eredivisie in the 2009/2010 season. The second place team? AFC Ajax! And what’s more, they won by just one point in the standings!
Also, it’s actually pronounced “Twen-TUH,” meaning the punny headline unfortunately does not work as well.
“Let’s Go Rangers!” – Fall 2025 2015-2016 Boys Champions
Congratulations to the Rangers on their first place finish! The Rangers were quite the force this season, putting up impressive numbers in their games. Their last two games were real nail biters, with Dundee United and Hibernian challenging their undefeated streak. Still, Coach Paraic and Coach Vincent helped their boys protect their record and walk away with the gold.
The Rangers were runner ups in the Scottish Premiership for 2024/2025. They are the fourth oldest team in the league and have won the league title a whopping 55 times! Going by all their trophies won, they are one of the most successful clubs in the world.

Congratulations to Halifax Tides on their first place finish! In a fun, competitive division, the Halifax Tides maintained a spectacular record, with all wins and just one tie against the Vancouver Rise. How did they do it? Well, speaking with OMM staple and division competitor Coach K, he said it was their remarkable speed that gave them that much needed edge. It seems when the Tide comes in, it comes in fast! An impressive showing from the girls and their terrific coaches, Coach Roberto and Coach Michael.
Halifax Tides competes in Canada’s Northern Super League – its brand new professional women’s soccer league. The league has only had one season so far! Its first game was held on April 16th, 2025, wherein Vancouver Rise played against Calgary Wild. The Halifax Tides ended the NSL’s inaugural season in 6th place.
